Scheduled/Routined Days (Trial)

Yesterday and today I have tried making a full specific schedule of what I'm going to be doing the entire day. It is scheduled every 30 minutes. This week I'm just trying it out. If it works, I will keep it, if not, I won't. My daily schedules have tried to include everything. Examples:

-5-6 workouts each day
-Cleaning
-All 3 meals
-Certain things on tv I wanted to watch
-Fun times such as crafts
-Breaks

I pretty much have my whole day planned out. I know when I get up and when I want to be in bed. The only thing I don't have planned is like what I'm eating at each meal! So far it it working out very well. I've been really busy and the past two days have flown by. So it's looking good to keep this idea around. Also with all the workouts I've been doing and me just staying busy, has me exhausted by bedtime. Since I'm busy, I'm not thinking about and worrying so much about James and what he's doing and if he's okay and why he hasn't called or texted, etc. I think this may be something I keep around. I'm not so sure if I'm going to do it though like 7 days a week or do 5 days a week with the weekend not scheduled. I haven't decided. Because on one hand I would like the weekends scheduled because it would make sure to keep me busy. On the other hand I wouldn't want the weekends scheduled, because I think having a scheduled day EVERY day might wear me out too quickly and I'll get bored with it. Oh well. We'll see.

Some exciting news! I signed up for Netflix today! I'm so happy. Getting movies all the time is going to help keep me busy. Plus I don't have to go drive to get them! And I can take movies either to James' parents or my moms to watch with them too.

Some sad news, is that tomorrow is mine and James' 2 year anniversary of the day we got married. It's gonna be a hard day for me. Probably for both of us. I'm excited though because James said he got me something that he's gonna send in the mail soon. Although there's been an issue with the mail so I won't get it by tomorrow. It will be a little late. And I sent him a letter today but of course it will be late also. So that kind of gives me something to look forward to. But tomorrow will be hard. Hopefully I stay extremely busy where I don't have to think about it.

Tomorrow I'm going with James' mom to a red cross type meeting thing at her church for families of deployed soldiers. It will be my first time going, so I will let you know how it goes.

Anyways, I'm gonna go watch tv and clean the living room some more before bed. I'll blog later on in the week hopefully!

He's Gone

James has left for his two to three months of training already. Since then I have been majorly depressed. Especially yesterday and today. The day James left with about 29 other soldiers on a bus, it was hard, yes, and I cried of course, but it was kinda easy afterwards. I went home with my mom and hung out there all day. And I had dinner with her too. It wasn't until I got home, that it really hit me that he was gone and I would be sleeping alone for the next year or so.

Yesterday was just a bad day for us both. For me, I was extremely emotional and very lonely. James was stressed out and nothing was going right for him. So it was really hard. I wished he could have been here to comfort me and make me feel better. And I wanted to give him a hug so badly.

Today I just feel extremely depressed. I don't wanna do anything. I just want to sit around and relax and maybe sleep. I've decided that for the rest of this week I'm gonna do just that. Sit around, watch tv, relax, and only get the most important things done that HAVE to be done. Starting sunday I've got a whole list of things planned out to start on and keep me busy everyday.

It's not looking too good for the job I was gonna do while James was gone. The intermittent job got denied which is what I was gonna do. But now they're gonna try for a full time temporary job and a part time temporary job. I may go for the part time, but definitely not the full time. And again, these may get denied also. So I've been trying to think of ways to keep myself busy if it doesn't work out. So far I haven't come up with much.

Anyways, I just wanted to blog because I hadn't been on in a while. But I'm gonna stop there for now and maybe go force myself to eat some lunch. Comments please?

Crazy Couple Weeks

I have not blogged in a while. Things have been extremely crazy and extremely busy. It's getting real close to James leaving. We've been busy EVERYDAY getting things done off our to-do list, and shopping and spending time with family. James has spent everyday of the week for the past two weeks at his unit, helping them prepare things and pack things and do paperwork.

I had a little meeting with one of the wives, who is the head of the FRG, on tuesday. I knew she was nice before I met her, but I found out she was EXTREMELY nice. She was very helpful. She answered all my questions. She gave me lots of ideas on ways to keep me busy. She offered for me to hang out with her and her daughters whenever. She's going to help me get a military id soon. I was very pleased with how it went. I hope we can become good friends while they are all gone. And the best part of the meeting was, I realized that she is going through the same thing as me, even though it's her second deployment. I saw her as a normal human this time. She cried. She showed emotion. At all the meetings about the deployment, she seems happy and upbeat and like everything is fine. I saw that she is suffering just like me.

James has only one more day he has to report to his unit before the deployment. I'm so happy that it will be finally done with. I'm really starting to stress a lot about this though. I'm realizing that I'm not sure if I can take care of myself. I'm terrified of how things are going to go. I have had so much trouble sleeping at night for about a week or so. It takes me forever to get to sleep, and then once I am asleep, I dream about everything that's going on, and how things will go once James leaves, and all the stuff that needs done. My mind has not had any rest in a long time. I'm exhausted. James is exhausted. He works his butt off everyday in columbus, gets home after 6pm and has a whole list of stuff still to do before we can go to bed. I feel so bad, but all this stuff needs done.

On a more happy note, Rachel and Nikki, my sisters got a new kitten! We had dinner with my family last night and got to meet the new baby, Jasper. He is cute! Also, my family reunion is this weekend, so that will give us a small break from our list of things to do. Oh and the wife that I met with tuesday, Tish, she gave us this movie to borrow Fireproof and wants us to watch it. So we are planning to take a break tomorrow evening and watch it together. It will probably be the last movie we get to watch together for a while.

Before I get more sad, I'm gonna finish it here. I will try and blog more sometime, but it probably won't be until after James is gone.

Vacation Week Day #5 and Saturday!

Friday was a very busy day. By the time we got up and moving and dressed, it was after noon. For once, I actually slept in until about 11. So that was nice. Once we were up, we left to run a bunch of errands. We went to the dollar store, Sears, Best Buy, and the grocery store. We also stopped at Taco Bell and got a quick small lunch. I drove home from Taco Bell. Once we got back home we had a little less than an hour to get some things done before we had to leave again. So James worked on all the litterboxes, while I picked up the living room a little and got stuff ready to leave. We left around 4:15 to go to my moms for dinner. I drove all the way there. We had tacos for dinner, played a game (kinda), and watched a hilarious movie called Hear No Evil, See No Evil. Or the other way around. I can't quite remember. Haha. Also we went and visited my grandma for a little bit while we were in that area. Then I drove all the way home too! Once we got home, we stayed up kind of late, until maybe 2am or later, both of us on our computers.

Saturday morning we got up around 10am and got dressed and ready. We went to James' moms for brunch. She made us french toast. Yummy! We were there for about an hour and then came home to get some stuff done before leaving again. James took about an hour nap before helping me. We mainly cleaned the living room. It's not completely done, but mostly. Then we left around 4:30pm to go to James' brother Caleb's birthday party. It was nice I guess. We were there until around 9pm. I drove home from there and even stopped at mcdonalds because we were hungry again. I didn't go through the drive thru though yet. I don't think I'm ready for that yet. Haha. Once we got home, we ate our food and watched some tv while discussing James' going away party. We finally have things mostly planned for it. Then we spent lots of time on the computer and was up late again.

Today we have quite a few things to do. Here's my checklist:
-Finish cleaning the living room
-Pick up the bedroom
-Do laundry
-Do dishes
-James needs to check his army emails
-Call my mom and maybe Kelly too
-Go get invitations at Walmart

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right this minute. Haha. So I'm gonna get off here and try and get James up so we can get started! Our vacation week is over, but James has monday off. Starting tuesday, he has to go to his unit everyday, then next weekend he has drill and also his going away party. Then another week of going to his unit. And finally, will be his last weekend here. It's getting so sad. It's down to close to two weeks until he leaves. What am I going to do??!!

Vacation Week Day #3 & #4

On wednesday, day #3, we were supposed to be getting stuff done. Cleaning the house and stuff like that. Well, we were both extremely lazy all day and did not get ANYTHING done. Haha. We sat around and watched tv most of the day. We did have fun wrestling with each other though at one point in the day. That evening we had dinner at James' parent's house. Then afterwards we went to Walmart to get some kitty litter.

Yesterday, day #4, we spent celebrating our second anniversary early. Our anniversary is at the end of september, and James will not be here for it, so we celebrated it early. I know it was really early, but since this week is free, we decided to do it then. Once we got up and had lunch, we kinda just laid around watching tv and we decided on what movie we were going to see. Then we got a shower and got dressed and left around 3:45 to go to the mall. We saw the movie District 9. It was DEFINITELY not what we expected at all. It wasn't bad, but I'm not sure if I would recommend it to anyone. Haha. It was weird and unpredictable and just strange. After the movie we went to Sears for James to look at shoes, which we are supposed to go back today and get, but I don't know if that will happen. Haha. After Sears we left and went to Red Lobster for dinner. It must be a tradition or something. We went there last year on our anniversary. We also got the same meal both years. Endless Shrimp. YUM!! After Red Lobster, I drove part of the way home. Once we were home we relaxed a bit, then we decided to watch another movie at home. Before the movie started though, we took a late night trip (it was after 10pm at this point) to McDonalds for chocolate milkshakes. We took Mixy Moo Moo with us. She is such a good girl. She sat on my lap the whole time, just content and purring. She was like a little lap doggy. Anyways, once we got home, we watched 17 Again and drank our shakes. After the movie we spent probably a couple hours on our computers talking about music and messing with our ipods. We made it to bed probably around 2:30am.

I got out of bed this morning around 11am, and I'm realizing all the things we have to do today. I really don't think it's all gonna get done before we have to go to my moms for dinner tonight. Haha. So I better get off here and rush James out of bed!! I'll post another blog later letting you know how our final vacation week day went!

Vacation Week Day #2

Yesterday was day two of our slight vacation week to relax and get stuff done. Yesterday was more busy than monday, that's for sure. We were kind of slow moving in the morning, but after we got up and had lunch we got busy. We went to the bank, then to another bank to talk to someone, but he wasn't in, so we left and went to walmart. We got some more things we needed. James needed razors and shaving cream. The cats needed some food. We got night lights for me to use when James is gone so I don't trip and break something when I come home when it's dark. He got me a security light thing for inside the door too. I think that's pretty much all we bought. But all that was pretty expensive. And I was so mad because I had a coupon for $4 off James' razors which were like $25 originally, and unfortunately I didn't check the expiration date. They expired monday. UGH!

After we left walmart, we went to Target and got James a new ipod that holds more music and even some video. Then we went back to the bank and got all that stuff figured out that we needed to take care of. Once we got home we pretty much spent the rest of the night on our computers. James worked on his new ipod and got it all set up and put new music on it and stuff. He also worked on putting everything from his computer (pictures, music, important files, etc.) onto the external harddrive. And he also checked some emails. He didn't have as much to do on the computer as I did, so he also spent a lot of time playing New Super Mario Bros for DS. On my computer, I installed Microsoft Office so that I would be able to open attachments from emails I get from the army people. Also, since James got a new ipod, I got his old one! So I installed iTunes, and put like ALL my cds on there and all my music from my computer. I have to say, I don't think I can fit not one more song on this ipod. Haha. But I'm happy. I'm glad to have this one. It's better than my old mp3 player.

We took a break sometime around 6pm to go get subway for dinner. That was pretty much our only break until we were done. Then we watched some tv and just relaxed. I was in bed by maybe 12ish. I woke up at 2am and James was still up. So I'm having trouble getting him up this morning unfortunately. Haha. Anyways, I think that's it for Day #2! I'll post more sometime later this week!

Vacation Week Day #1

Well yesterday, the first day of our slight vacation week, we did not get a whole lot done actually. We were using it as a break. We wanted to just relax and enjoy spending time together. Also, I got to drive the new blue car for the first time yesterday! It was my first time driving with my new permit. I think we drove for about an hour. It started off in a parking lot of course so I could get used to the car and how it works and stuff. Then we took it to the street for a short drive to a church and then back to the parking lot. Then all the way home! But other than that, we pretty much just planned out our week ahead and watched a lot of tv and did a whole lot of nothing. But it was nice. James needs that break, because he's going to be very busy pretty much until he leaves.

The only other thing that happened yesterday, is that I got an old friend back. We were good friends for years and then we got into a fight about something and have not been friends for a few months. We started talking yesterday and kinda made up. So now that's one more friend I have to add to my list of people who are there for me while James is gone. It's nice to have her back because we used to talk all the time and when we weren't friends I really didn't have anyone to talk to! So hopefully things work out better this time.

Anyways, I will keep you updated even more on how the rest of the week goes, later on!
