Obsessed Premiere Review

I watched the first season of Obsessed and to be honest, there was so much time in between, I thought the show had been cancelled. On monday though, they showed the season 2 premiere!

First off, I'll talk about Cindee and her struggle. She worked out obsessively. Three hours a day or more on a treadmill! I can't even imagine doing a whole hour on a treadmill at this point. Cindee has childen, the oldest was 21 years old! Cindee gave birth to her first child when she was only 14 years old! I can't imagine that struggle to begin with. But in the episode she did show that she cares enough about her children in some ways. She was on the treadmill and her one son (who is autistic) was crying or having trouble and she actually shut the treadmill off to go help her son. Yes, she may not spend much time with them while she's off the treadmill, but at least she got off when he needed her. One of her exposures was to stay on the treadmill for only 32 minutes and then stop. I was so suprised to find out that she was so upset about that her hand was physically shaking like crazy. I never realized OCD could have those types of physical symptoms. For Cindee's final exposure she goes camping with her family and I was so happy to see that she enjoyed it and wasn't too anxious about it. She enjoyed it so much, it showed an update that she was thinking about getting a camper!

Now the other person on the episode was Graham. He was a germaphobe. He was always washing his hands. Hundreds of times a day. He showered sometimes 10 times a day. Graham was a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, and he now believed that anyone who drank or did drugs was contaminated or the things they touched were contaminated, so he had to take a shower after coming into contact with them. At one point Graham was showering and he got out of the shower, washed his hands (more like scrubbed his hands), and then got back in the shower! That just amazed me because I never thought anyone was that much of a germaphobe! On a side note, I think his daughter is just adorable. For Graham's final exposure he and his family went to a waterpark, where hundreds of people had been in that water. I was so happy to see that he was fine at the waterpark. He even went down the slide IN the water with his daughter! He wasn't just touching it and doing the minimum. He went all out and enjoyed himself. At the end they said that Graham's cleaning rituals had completely subsided! I think that's GREAT, because he was very bad with the cleaning rituals.

This show is interesting. It's definitely reality tv and very dramatic. I enjoy watching the show and I will continue to watch this season! And future seasons if they continue the show!

Intervention Premiere Review

I have been a fan of Intervention since I first heard about the show maybe two years ago or so. I've seen almost every episode. I find this show so interesting and I feel for those people. It's nice to see some of them get help and sad to see others screw up their lives again. I love the reality of the show though. I have never really been around anyone with an addiction of any kind, so it's so interesting to see how it really affects people so seriously.

Last night was their season 9 premiere. Unfortunately since I have a crazy schedule I could not watch it as it was premiering. I watched it online today. I love how most shows are posted online in less than 24 hours!

Last night's episode was about a mother (Donna) and her son (Josh) who were both alcoholics. Donna for 14 years and Josh for 11 months I believe. First I want to point out that they also had 7 cats like I do! Donna and Josh both live with Donna's mother. They are like best friends. It's good to be best friends with your kids, but not when addiction is involved. They make each other worse by drinking together everyday.

Donna pan handles on the street for money, but she did not even look like she was poor so I don't know why people even gave her money! That's just my opinion.

Donna's sister Candy got custody of, and took care of, Donna's other daughter Justina. Donna of course is not happy about this, which is understandable, but she should be happy that she has a sister that cares enough to take care of her daughter for her! Speaking of daughters, Josh has a daughter also. His daughter was visiting and only gets to visit once a week, yet Josh was in his room sleeping and drunk. He should not be allowed to see his daughter if he is drinking. That's my opinion.

It ended at least half well. Josh turned out okay, but his mother went back to drinking after treatment.

I look forward to seeing all the rest of the new episodes to come! I absolutely love Intervention! More reviews of premiere shows to come in the next couple days.

Twitter Wins (And Thank You's) Part 2

Well I have won many things since my last post, so I just want to give another thank you to all the companies and let you all know what you're missing if you don't enter these contests! You can't win if you don't enter!

I won a bag of Cinnamon Churros from Free Sample Momma and Rudolph Foods. Actually I THOUGHT I was only supposed to win one bag, but I received two. I have tasted them and they are SO good. They are very similar to Taco Bell's Cinnamon Twists. They taste a little different, but they are a free subsitute for now! I love them! Thanks a bunch to both of you. Their twitter links are below.

Freesamplemomma

Rudolph Foods

I also won a PC Game, for the computer. It was Madagascar, from the movie. I have seen the movie, AND the second movie, and they are great. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to try out the game yet, but I'm sure once I do, it will be lots of fun! So thank you to Game Gears which is the company I won the game from. Below is their twitter link.

I also received a $5 gift card to FYE (For Your Entertainment). It's a movie and music store. Luckily I have one in the mall in my town. So thank you to FYE Guy. I will spend this once my hubby gets home and we decide what to use it for. The link is below.

I won a daily treatment conditioner from Dove. It smells amazing! And it makes my hair soft and easy to brush. And I have to mention again, I LOVE the smell. I love the smell of all Dove products really. I have for a long time. So thank you Dove for my wonderful conditioner! Their twitter link is below.

I also won a box of free Snickers Ice Cream bars. Of course they couldn't send them through the mail, but they sent me a coupon for a free box, and also a coupon for $1 off a box. Since they are good through the end of the year, I am going to save the coupons until my hubby comes home so he can have some. He is the big Snickers fan anyway. Thank you Snickers Ice Cream! Their link is below!

I have won a few more things, but I was waiting to blog about them until I received the prizes. So in a few weeks or so, I should have another twitter wins blog!

The Hard Times of RJ Berger Premiere Review

A lot of MTV's shows I'm not into. I like about half of their reality shows, and not usually any of their regular non-reality shows. About the first two times I saw the commercials for the new MTV show The Hard Times of RJ Berger, I was not interested. But after seeing commercials for a few weeks, it got me interested. Unfortunately I missed the premiere as it aired, but I watched it online last night.

As I predicted, it was pretty interesting. It fits into a teenagers life, but in my opinion it's not really appropriate for anyone under 15. It was pretty funny in parts. Getting caught masturbating by your mother, hearing your parents and another couple talk about a foursome, getting to finally play basketball on the school team because they desperately needed someone to fill in, and then totally screwing up the game, getting your shorts pulled down and revealing to the school your huge gift, getting back at a bully at a party, planning with your buddy to become popular, having a huge crush on the prettiest girl in school, and so on. It was relate-able in parts. Some teenagers at some point have experienced each of the scenarios RJ Berger has gone through in just his FIRST episode.

I don't think it's got "stupid humor" like some shows or movies I've seen. In my opinion, it's not just a show for one sex or the other. But I feel it's inappropriate for younger kids and even younger teenagers. As previously stated, I would recommend it to no one under 15. I know the world is different than when I was younger and so many kids know about these things and/or have gone through them, but I still don't think that make it right.

I look forward to seeing tonights new episode. I think it's a show I will continue to enjoy. And I think my husband might like it also!

"Lovely Bones" Movie Review

I will admit, when I first saw the commercials for this movie, it wasn't necessarily one I was DYING to see. But after a while, it started looking more and more interesting. And my sister was one that was DYING to see it. She got the book to read before she saw the movie. She started reading it, but said it was SO confusing, SO boring, and it kept jumping back and forth between her being alive and after she died. Therefore, my sister never finished the book. We all wanted to see the movie still, and hoped it wasn't as bad as the book. So last night I saw it!

My family wasn't IN LOVE with the movie, and they thought it was kind of confusing. My sister though, that started the book, said it was confusing, but not AS confusing as the book. On the other hand, I didn't really find it confusing and I enjoyed it a lot. It kept my interest. It was suspenseful and very enjoyable.

It took until almost the end of the movie, to really show HOW she died. When it first shows her killer approaching her, it shows her escaping. Yet you then find out, she is just a ghost at this point. Once she realizes she's dead, and goes to the "in between" the scenery there is GORGEOUS! There's beautiful fields, ocean, sky, icebergs, forrest, and so on. My mom said that the parts where she's in the "in between" were boring. But I enjoyed the scenery a lot.

I'm a big Mark Wahlberg fan, and I think he did a great job in this role as her father.

There was one EXTREMELY suspenseful part where the sister was in the killer's house. I was on the edge of my seat, just thinking to myself, get out of the house, get out of the house! I love movies that make you really get into them.

I do have to say though, that one part of the end of the movie I did not like, and one part I really did like. I won't tell the details for those of you that haven't seen it, but hopefully you know what I mean once you do see it! The part I didn't like was also a pretty suspenseful part and I was wishing it didn't happen. I was wishing it would have turned out a different way.

I would recommend this movie to people who enjoy suspenseful movies. And if you get easily confused by complex stories, maybe this movie isn't for you.

**SIDE NOTE** My family and I were at the grocery store today, and this guy kept staring at one of my sisters. Just staring at her everywhere she moved. What made it even freakier, was that he looked very similar to the killer in this movie! CREEPY!

Hubby's 22nd Birthday

Since James is deployed, of course he wasn't home on his birthday. He turned 22 yesterday! So as he would say, he's now OFFICIALLY older than me, since I'm still technically 21 for 2 months! It was so hard not having him home to hug him and tell him happy birthday in person and give him kisses and all that. I'm sure it was just as hard of a day for him not having family around.

He did get lots of birthday emails and letters and cards. I sent him a birthday box, with some food, along with birthday related items. Some include, his favorite homemade double chocolate chip cookies, a balloon, a couple birthday napkins, two birthday candles, and a birthday card. I didn't send him any like actual gifts, because for one, there's not much he can really use over there that he would want, and for two, we're going to have a double birthday (for him and I) shortly after he is home from deployment.

James said he had a pretty decent day. He wasn't too sad. He got to sleep in and only work a half a day. I got to email with him for the whole 4 hours he was at work. I tried hard to be extra sweet and loving to make his day good.

We also got a special treat! He was finally able to use Skype for the first time since he's been deployed (and keep in mind he's been gone for 8 and a half months already), and we had a webcam date! We got to talk for over two hours! It was SO nice. The quality of the internet was good too. There were no issues or interruptions. He had to use the internet in his office, because he can't get internet in his room, so it wasn't as personal as we would have liked it, but it was still nice. And the good thing is, since it is now working, we will be able to use skype once a week or every other week now! It was just really nice that our first skype date was on his birthday!

I can't wait for him to come home and us to have our double birthday party. Hopefully with an extra special treat! I can't really talk about that yet, because I don't want certain people knowing, but once I can, I will tell you guys ALL about it! Now let's just hope that my birthday in two months, goes okay too and that I don't have a bad, terrible day.....

Secret Life Premiere Review

I've been a big Secret Life of the American Teenager fan from the beginning when the show started. I've seen every episode. Probably more than half of the episodes, I have had to watch online, because of my weird schedule, I always miss them when they are on tv. Luckily I got to watch last night's premiere on tv, on time, with my family!

First of all, I couldn't believe within the first like 2 minutes of the show, Adrian announced she wasn't pregnant. I was thinking "you made us wait this long to find it out and you reveal it in the first couple minutes!" Of course later in the show, I begin to get suspicions along with Ben. Ben is very smart to doubt Adrian. At the end of the episode, Adrian's phone call really makes you suspicious. I'm almost SURE she's pregnant and lying to everyone. And by commercials for future episodes, it sounds like Adrian really is pregnant for sure.

I'm starting to worry about Ashley. She's getting on birth control, and she's getting a little too close to Ricky. By commercials, it looks like things start to progress between Ashley and Ricky. I don't want her to end up like Amy with a baby in high school! I'm SO curious to see how that situation will turn out.

I could not believe that Jack's parents were actually fine with him staying behind when they moved and live with a friend. But I was so suprised to hear that Jack and Madison actually thought it would be possible for them to live together. I think that's crazy! And funny that they thought their parents would go along with it! I am just guessing here, but I think Jack will end up living with Ricky, Ben, or Grace. But that's just my guess!

I am so happy that Amy and Ben are back together. For now of course. I have a feeling that Adrian's pregnancy is going to cause problems for Amy and Ben again. But for now, it's nice to see Ben happy. Sometimes I think Amy doesn't deserve Ben, but he's such a sweet guy, and if Amy's who he wants, then I think he should be happy! I can't wait to see how that turns out!

The previews for the rest of the season are so suspenseful and they definitely have me hooked for another season! I can't wait for next monday and many mondays to follow!

Kate Plus 8 Premiere Review

I know there's a lot of controversy with Jon and Kate Gosselin. I think Kate is a good mother, and their shows are so entertaining. So if you don't like what I have to say, please don't leave rude comments. Just don't read it if you're not a Kate fan.

Yesterday was the premiere of Kate Plus 8 on TLC, where it follows Kate's Journey as a single mother. I really looked forward to the show coming on and I missed hearing all about the family! It was a good show. First of all, I would like to comment on Kate's new hair. I kinda miss her old, shorter hair, but this new longer hair is working for her. I think it just makes her look a lot younger. She is dressing a little more "non-mom" in my opinion, but it's just clothes and it's just looks.

When the camera crew came back into the home and you saw all the little ones running around with the camera crew and playing with them and hugging them, it just looks like to me, that they are like family to the Gosselin's. To me, these are not strangers coming into their home, this is family and friends. They have had camera's around pretty much since they were born, so it's what they are used to! Whether they stop filming or not, everyone still knows who they are. So yes, if I was in that situation, I would probably go back to filming too. It's good money. She may not have a "real" job as some people say, but can you imagine her going to get a real job like her becoming a nurse again? It would be like any other celebrity trying to go work at a fast food place or something. It just wouldn't work!

I'm not sure how many of you noticed, but when Kate was talking about the kids being with Jon ON their birthday, she didn't seem to happy about that. It was almost as if she was being sarcastic about the party he threw them. But that happens in a divorced couple. There are sarcastic things said and controversy. It happens.

It was so weird seeing so many people talking to Kate at the airport and saying hi and nice things to her. I know it would be weird to go through that! And when Penny and Peter the penguins met the kids at the airport, I thought that was just so adorable! I'm sure the kids LOVED that. I would love that myself!

The meltdown over the wetsuits, was so understandable. Can you imagine being in heat and trying to be in one of those hot things!? I wouldn't want to do it! And I thought it was so sweet that Kate took Alexis back to Discovery Cove the following day, because she was sick the day the rest of the family went. To me, that's a great mother thing to do! I don't think MY mom would even do that!

The kids cake at their party was so cute too! The blue six with the dolphins and stuff on it. I can't get over the fact that they are 6 years old.

I didn't know that the second hour was the special "Inside Kate's World". But of course I had to watch it also! First thing I found out was that her hair did not grow that long. She has hair extensions! I didn't even realize that. I think they look pretty good though. I loved all the comments that Meredith Vieira made. She was being so supportive of Kate and everything she's been through. I'm glad SOME people are sticking up for Kate and the way she is living her life and running her family. The only thing I was not happy to see, was at one of Kate's book signings in LA, she was kinda acting pouty and grumpy because tons of people didn't show up. I just thought that was kind of immature and selfish. She should be thankful for the fans she DOES have. She did get over it and go be polite to everyone though.

Overall, I enjoyed both shows. It felt good to catch up on their life over the past few months. I will continue to watch the new episodes every sunday night as I'm able to!

Singstar for PS2 Reviews

Once I heard about the Singstar games, I just HAD to have them. I love to sing (not that I'm any good), but I enjoy it. Of course at the time, I was so behind, I didn't even have a Playstation 2. Once I finally got a Playstation 2, the first Singstar game I got was Singstar Pop. And by that time, Playstation 3 was almost out, so Singstar was hard to find after that. Needless to say, I now own 3 of the Singstar games, and my sister owns one. So here are my reviews.

Singstar Overview: Singstar is a video game, where you use two special microphones and you sing to the varius songs in that specific genre. You can sing solo, as a pair, or even play party games up to 8 people. You can do duets or battle friends. You can record and playback your voices and even save the recordings. You can also have special effects when playing back your recordings. Those are kind of cool and hilarious to do. There's an easy, medium, or hard setting. And you can do the full song or just a quick short version. Each game also contains different medleys with more than one song you will do in each round. Pretty much, Singstar is like a karaoke game, but the biggest difference, is that you have the original artists voices and videos to sing to. In my opinion that makes it so much easier than singing to just the music.

As I said, Singstar Pop was my first game. It was my first choice out of the whole series, because I knew the most songs on it. There are maybe 5-7 songs on the game that I do not know. The disc contains 30 songs. It will all depend on preference of course and taste in certain artists and songs, as to how many you will know or not know. This disc contains artists such as Rihanna, Destiny's Child, Cyndi Lauper, Whitney Houston, and Three Doors Down. My two favorite songs on this game to sing (and the ones I do the best at), are The Reason by Hoobastank, and Beautiful Soul by Jesse McCartney. To me, this game was so enjoyable. If you don't like to sing, it's definitely not for you. You don't have to sing well, you just have to at least be close to on tune, and sing at the right times. As of right now (since my other two games are very new still), this version of Singstar is my favorite, because I know the most songs on it and I have played it a ton. I play this game with my sisters all the time. One of my sisters even downloaded all the songs she didn't know off the game, and put them on her ipod so she could learn them and get the only scores for those songs!

The second one I received was Singstar Pop Volume 2! I got it for Christmas this past year from my husband. There's probably about 10-12 songs on this game that I don't know very well. Out of 30. It has songs from artists such as Colbie Cailat, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna, Maroon 5, and Lifehouse. My favorite songs to sing on this game (so far) are Bring Me To Life by Evanescence, Fat Lip by Sum 41 and My Happy Ending by Avril Lavigne. Since I don't know as many songs on this game, it's not as enjoyable as Singstar Pop. But I'm learning the songs I don't know, and I'm getting into it. This would be my second favorite game out of the 3 I have.

The third Singstar I got, was Singstar Country. I just recently got this game, only about 2 weeks ago. This one and Singstar Pop Volume 2 are very close in my rankings. I'm sure here soon, this one will be my second favorite. Again, there's about 10-12 songs on here that I don't know very well. I have heard the songs, but don't know all the lyrics very well, so I'm trying to learn them. It includes songs from artists such as Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry, Faith Hill, and Keith Urban. My favorite songs so far to sing are Big Star by Kenny Chesney and Girls Lie Too by Terri Clark. When I first got this game I realized it was SO fun to sing. I think I just do better at singing country music. My sisters on the other hand did not enjoy this game as much, but they are not big country fans. So I will be playing this game more on my own rather than with anyone.

My sister has Singstar Rocks, but I have never played it. There are only about 5 songs on that disc that I do know. So I can't do much of a review on that game since I haven't played it.

This is my first video game review, so let me know what you think. I have more video game reviews in the future planned!

"It's Complicated" Movie Review

I am a member of Netflix so I get movies a lot. More often than getting movies, I get tv shows though. I love 7th Heaven. I'm going through all the seasons. Currently on the very end of Season 4. But every now and then in between shows, I get movies. I would like to try and do a review on each movie if I remember.

So to start with, I will review the movie It's Complicated with Meryl Streep, Eric Baldwin, and Steve Martin.

I had wanted to see this movie in theaters, but of course with James gone, I don't like going to the theaters alone. I went to the movies once with my sister, but since this movie is rated R, we were not able to see it. So I received it from netflix today and JUST finished watching it with my mom and one sister.

The previews to start with, really did a good job for the movie. They show a lot of the most funny parts in the movie, making you want to see it. It's about a couple that has been divorced for 10 years. The husband Jake, has remarried to a much younger woman. Hence, that is the reason for their divorce, was because of his affair with this younger woman, Agnes. After being divorced for 10 years, the ex-couple end up staying in the same hotel for their sons graduation. They get a little drunk at the bar and end up having a little too much fun together. After that, Jake realizes he is still in love with his ex-wife, Jane, and he wants to procede with the affair. Jane is hesitant at first, feeling guilty, but still wanting to go along with it. Things start getting crazy, when Jane's architect starts falling for her. Now she is torn between these two men.

I thought the movie was funny, romantic, entertaining, and very enjoyable. It was just as good as I expected. Not any better, not any worse. My favorite character is actually the oldest daughters fiance Harley, played by John Krisanski. He was HILARIOUS! He made the movie as funny as it was. I did not enjoy how the movie turned out in the end. It wasn't sad or anything, it just didn't go how I would have hoped for. I won't give details to ruin things for anyone, but if you watch it, maybe you will know what I mean!

Well, this was my first movie review, so I hope you like it, and I hope there will be more to come!

LONG TIME!

It's been a long time since I've been on here! Months! I've been on twitter a lot more and many many people are using blogs, so I figured maybe I would try and use mine more too! So follow my blog if you like!

James has been gone for quite a while now. He's already had his R&R break around the end of April, beginning of May. It was AMAZING having him home, but it was SO hard letting him go back. Now we are down to close to 5 months until he's done with the whole deployment!

This is short, because it's just a quick update, but I will try to find more things to blog about! I have a few ideas so far! For now, good evening!
